Founded in 1996 by Jimmy Pierce, Kids Making It transitioned from a legal career to teaching woodworking to at-risk youth in North Carolina. Recognizing the challenges faced by low-income children, the program has grown significantly, now serving over 500 students annually through various programs.
Kids Making It aims to keep students in school, out of trouble, and successfully transitioning into college or the workplace, positively impacting the lives of at-risk youth through vocational training and mentorship.
