Our Story

Founded in 1996, Kids Included Together began as a pilot project at the Lawrence Family Jewish Community Center, initiated by Gayle and Don Slate. By 1997, it evolved into a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to fostering inclusive practices for children with disabilities. Over the years, KIT has expanded its reach, partnering with organizations nationwide to promote inclusion.

Our Impact

Since its inception, Kids Included Together has trained over 130,000 individuals across more than 600 organizations in all 50 states and 13 countries, significantly enhancing the capacity for inclusion in child and youth development programs.
