Kids in Focus is dedicated to mentoring youth, helping them overcome adversity and build resilience through the art of photography. Founded by Karen Shell in 2012, this nonprofit organization provides unique experiences for children in underserved communities, allowing them to express their perspectives and build confidence.

Making an Impact

Each year, Kids in Focus offers over 700 unique experiences to more than 350 students, fostering new perspectives and resilience through creative expression. Collaborating with local schools and community partners, the organization showcases the children's work in public exhibits, transforming how they view themselves and their potential.
