Our Story

Kids House opened its doors on July 31, 1999, as a response to the urgent need for a more effective system to handle child abuse cases in Seminole County. Prior to its establishment, child victims faced a fragmented system that often exacerbated their trauma. Kids House was created to provide a centralized, child-friendly environment where victims and their families can receive comprehensive support from the moment a report is made until recovery is achieved.

Impact

In FY 2022-2023, Kids House served 1,954 children, offering essential services such as forensic interviews, medical exams, and trauma therapy to help victims of child abuse reclaim their futures.
