Our Story

Founded in 2004 by Stephen L. Feinberg, Kids Excel El Paso was established to combat the decline of government funding for arts education in public schools. Originally named the El Paso Dance Institute, the organization has evolved to serve over 40,000 children, offering free, high-quality arts education to at-risk youth in El Paso. With a growing demand, Kids Excel has expanded its reach, partnering with numerous schools to provide enriching arts programs.

Impact

Kids Excel has positively impacted the lives of over 40,000 children, enhancing their educational experience through free in-school arts education. The program currently serves 1,200 children across 15 schools, focusing on inclusivity and accessibility, fostering self-esteem and academic performance.
