Scholarships for Children of Parents Affected by Workplace Injuries

Empowering Montana's Future Through Education

Kids’ Chance of Montana was established in 2017, inspired by the vision of Robert Clyatt, a worker’s compensation attorney who recognized the need for educational support for children whose parents have been severely injured or killed in workplace accidents. This initiative is part of a larger movement that began in Georgia in 1988 and has since expanded across the United States, culminating in the formation of Kids’ Chance of America in 2007. Today, Kids’ Chance of Montana stands as a beacon of hope for families in need.

Making a Lasting Impact

Since its inception, Kids’ Chance of Montana has awarded 24 scholarships, totaling over $143,000, to help students pursue their educational dreams. These scholarships cover tuition, fees, and other essential costs for colleges, technical schools, and vocational training programs. Governed by an all-volunteer Board of Directors, every dollar donated goes directly to supporting Montana students.
