Our Story

In 2018, the Khmer Community of Seattle-King County (KCSKC) was reinstated as a 501(c)(3) organization after a decade of dormancy. The mission is to provide essential services to vulnerable Khmer elders, youth, and families in the Seattle area. During the COVID-19 pandemic, KCSKC adapted its traditional Khmer dance youth programming to offer direct services, including culturally-appropriate food distributions, personal protective equipment (PPE), and COVID-19 vaccination clinics.

Impact

KCSKC serves Khmer elders aged 55 and older through the Khmer Senior Village and Khmer Caregiver Respite programs, ensuring culturally relevant and compassionate support. Engaging youth with elders through community workshops fosters intergenerational connections.
