Our Story

Key to Lion’s Heart Rescue was founded in January 2018 in honor of Lion, a dog whose journey touched many lives. Lion was abandoned at a high-kill shelter, facing an uncertain fate. After being rescued, he was moved multiple times in search of a loving home. Sadly, the trauma he endured took a toll on his spirit, and despite the love he received in his final days, it was too late for him. In his memory, this organization was born, dedicated to ensuring that no dog suffers as Lion did.

Our Impact

Through a dedicated foster program, Key to Lion’s Heart Rescue provides a nurturing environment for animals in need. Each dog receives essential care, including vaccinations, microchipping, heartworm testing, and spay/neuter surgeries. Rehabilitation and training are also provided to prepare them for adoption into loving homes.
