The Kern County Sheriff’s Mounted Posse, established in 1939, is the oldest working posse in California. With approximately 45 dedicated members, the Posse participates in parades and rodeos across the state, proudly representing the Kern County Sheriff’s Department. Under the leadership of Sheriff Donny Youngblood, the Posse is committed to raising funds for organizations that focus on child welfare, particularly for physically and mentally challenged children in Kern County.
