The Kerala Cultural Society of Metropolitan Washington Inc. was established in 1984 to serve the vibrant Malayali community in the Washington metropolitan area. This nonprofit organization is dedicated to fostering cultural awareness and social activities among North American Malayalee Asian-Indians, enriching the community through cultural values and humanitarian service.
In 2019, KCS raised over $7,300 to build a home for a widow and her daughter through the Snehalayam Project, alongside volunteering over 120 hours at the D.C. Soup Kitchen. In 2018, the organization raised more than $35,000 for flood relief efforts in Kerala, demonstrating a strong commitment to humanitarian service.
