Our Story

The Kenya Education Fund (KEF) is a culmination of over 20 years of dedication to education in Kenya, merging the efforts of three impactful organizations: the Kenya Education Fund, the Nomadic Kenyan Children’s Educational Fund (NKCEF), and the Children of Kibera Foundation. Founded by former Peace Corps Volunteer Bradley Broder and community leader Dominic Muasya, KEF aims to keep underprivileged children in high school. The NKCEF was established to support nomadic children in Northern Kenya, while the Children of Kibera Foundation provided scholarships to students from Africa’s largest slum. Together, these organizations have transformed the educational landscape for thousands of Kenyan youth.

Impact

KEF has successfully educated over 4,600 students, boasting a nearly 100% high school graduation rate and a remarkable 99% transition rate to college, far exceeding the national average.
