By collaborating with esteemed institutions like the James Graham Brown Cancer Center at the University of Louisville and the Markey Cancer Center at the University of Kentucky, this organization aims to propel promising research programs into the spotlight, attracting larger funding opportunities. Additionally, an annual donation is made to The V Foundation for Cancer Research, aligning with Jim Valvano’s vision of finding a cure for cancer.

Impact

With over $500,000 donated to combat cancer, Kentuckiana Friends of V has significantly contributed to various research initiatives and established the Angela Valvano Memorial research classroom at Kosair Children’s Hospital.
