Our Story

Founded in 1983, Habitat for Humanity of Kent County has transformed the lives of over 800 families through home repairs, homeownership, and education. Inspired by the civil rights movement, this organization promotes partnership housing, where volunteers construct affordable homes at no profit.

Impact

In 2023, Habitat Kent proudly celebrated its 500th home built and homeowner family. With the support of around 2,000 volunteers each year, the organization contributes over $1.5 million to the local economy.
