Kenosha YMCA

Our Story
In the spring of 1928, pioneer automaker Charles W. Nash and his wife conducted a study to identify the needs of youth in Kenosha. Their findings led to a remarkable $400,000 donation towards the establishment of a community youth center, contingent upon the community matching this amount dollar-for-dollar. This challenge was met by 3,000 residents who believed in the importance of supporting programs that foster mental, moral, and physical development for youth. In 1930, the Kenosha YMCA opened its doors, dedicated to public service and community enrichment. For over 90 years, the YMCA has remained committed to strengthening the community for all.
