Our Story
Founded in 1999 in the basement of Trinity First United Methodist Church, the Kelly Memorial Food Pantry emerged from a passionate group of volunteers who believed that hunger in El Paso should be unacceptable. Over the years, it has transformed into the Kelly Center for Hunger Relief, expanding its services to tackle hunger and food insecurity in various innovative ways. In 2010, the organization became an independent nonprofit and received its 501(c)(3) designation in 2011. With partnerships that enhance its mission, the Kelly Center has launched impactful programs like the FreshStart Program in 2016 and the Community Clothes Closet in 2022.
