Our Story

Keep Iowa Beautiful was founded in 2000 by former Governor Robert D. Ray and civic leader Donald F. Lamberti. This nonprofit organization empowers Iowans to enhance their communities through various improvement programs. As an affiliate of Keep America Beautiful, Keep Iowa Beautiful has made significant strides in promoting cultural and economic vitality across the state.

Our Impact

With a commitment to reducing litter and waste, Keep Iowa Beautiful has positively influenced 15 counties and 112 communities in Iowa. The Hometown Pride program has been instrumental in fostering community engagement and beautification efforts.
