Our Story
Kazoo School was founded in October 1972 by a dedicated group of parents and teachers, led by Christine Morgan and Stephen Phillips. Their vision was to create a nurturing and challenging educational environment focused on the whole child. Since opening its doors in January 1973 with just eleven children and two teachers, Kazoo School has grown into a vibrant community dedicated to fostering independent thinkers and lifelong learners.
For over 45 years, Kazoo School has emphasized the importance of small class sizes, a supportive atmosphere, and a commitment to the arts. The cooperative spirit that initiated this institution continues to thrive today, as parents and teachers work hand-in-hand to create a rich educational experience. This partnership is essential to fulfilling the school’s mission of building a community of learners.
