About Kansas Parents as Teachers Association
Founded in 2001, the Kansas Parents as Teachers Association (KPATA) emerged from a collective effort by coordinators in the Kansas City Area Parents as Teachers Consortium. This initiative was driven by a commitment to enhance the lives of children and families across Kansas through effective home visitation programming. With the support of key partnerships, including the Kansas State Department of Education and the Department for Children and Families, KPATA has become a vital resource for parent education.
Impact of KPATA
KPATA is dedicated to supporting early childhood home visiting programs, ensuring that every child in Kansas can reach their fullest potential.
