Our Story
Since its inception in 1988, the Kansas Disability Caucus has been a beacon of hope for individuals with disabilities in Kansas. Originating from a gathering of concerned citizens in Salina, the Caucus has successfully advocated for critical legislative changes, including the Self-Direction law, which established consumer-directed personal assistance services. Over the years, the organization has evolved to address pressing issues such as employment, healthcare, and discrimination, ensuring that the voices of Kansans with disabilities are heard.
