Charitable Dental Services

Our Story

The Kansas Dental Charitable Foundation (KDCF) was established in 2002 with a mission to enhance oral health across Kansas. Funded initially by a grant from the Kansas Dental Association Relief Fund, KDCF has since provided over $100,000 in grants to community-based projects that foster collaboration among local organizations. Each year, Kansas dentists contribute approximately $50,000 to our annual campaign, which has helped grow the KDCF Endowment to over $300,000. This endowment, along with other restricted gifts, supports grants and scholarships aimed at improving dental access in the state.

Our Impact

The Kansas Mission of Mercy (KMOM) is a hallmark initiative of KDCF, offering a two-day free dental clinic that serves thousands of patients annually. To date, over 30,000 individuals have received essential dental care, including cleanings, fillings, and extractions, all provided at no cost by dedicated volunteer dentists, hygienists, and assistants. Many patients wait overnight for this vital care, highlighting the significant need for accessible dental services in Kansas.
