Our Story
In 2011, a Texas couple encountered Kamukama Jr., a young boy in Bwindi searching for his father. His father had abandoned the family, leaving his mother unable to afford his school fees. In Uganda, where quality public education is scarce, children without financial support are denied access to schooling. This encounter sparked the creation of the Kamukama Foundation, dedicated to transforming the lives of children like Kamukama Jr.
Impact
Today, the Kamukama Foundation sponsors over 650 students across 15 schools, providing essential education, healthcare, and agricultural programming to empower impoverished youth in rural Uganda.
