Our Story
Kalamazoo in Bloom was established in 1984 as Kalamazoo County Flowerfest, initially focusing on a vibrant three-day flower festival. Over the years, the organization evolved to celebrate the rich history of the area's plant industries year-round. In 2003, the name was changed to Kalamazoo in Bloom, reflecting its commitment to beautifying public spaces across Kalamazoo and Portage. Today, the organization continues to plant thousands of flowers, enhancing the community's natural beauty and receiving numerous accolades for its efforts.
