Our Story

K9 Kindness Rescue Inc. was founded in March 2004 by Debbie Fraker, who has since retired. Starting with just a few friends and three foster homes in Davenport, De Witt, and Blue Grass, the organization has grown significantly. The name reflects a partnership with K9 Child Dog Daycare. In 2013, the rescue proudly placed its 1,000th dog in a forever home, and in 2014, it expanded its reach by rescuing its first dog from Puerto Rico. Now, under the leadership of President Kimberly Patterson, K9 Kindness Rescue operates with around 20 dedicated foster homes.
