Our Story

K’iin Beh, meaning 'towards the sun' in Mayan, is a bilingual non-profit school established in 2011 in the Cristo Rey community of Playa del Carmen. Starting with just 20 students in a makeshift classroom, K’iin Beh has grown to serve over 400 students, focusing on providing quality bilingual education and instilling strong values. After facing challenges in 2015, the school successfully reopened in 2017 with the generous support of donors, including the Scott family, who funded the construction of a new facility.

Impact

Since its inception, K’iin Beh has educated over 1,500 students, equipping them with bilingual skills and values that prepare them to become future leaders in their community.
