Our Story

Founded in 2005 by a dedicated group of attorneys, the Juvenile Defenders Association of Pennsylvania, Inc. (JDAP) emerged from a collaboration with the Defender Association of Philadelphia. This organization is committed to serving the interests of delinquent and disadvantaged youth by training juvenile defenders in best practices across Pennsylvania. Initially starting with a few seminars, JDAP has expanded its reach, now conducting training in over twelve counties and facilitating five to eight programs annually.

Impact

JDAP trains 250 to 300 juvenile defenders each year, significantly improving legal representation for juveniles throughout Pennsylvania.
