Our Story

Founded in 1910 by Gretchen Corbett, the Junior League of Portland has a rich history of community service and leadership development. As the fourth oldest League in the Association of Junior Leagues International, JLP has been at the forefront of addressing pressing community issues through trained women volunteers. From its inception, the League has launched numerous initiatives aimed at improving the lives of the underserved in Portland.
