Our Story

Founded in 1993, Juma Ventures began with a single Ben & Jerry’s ice cream shop in San Francisco, dedicated to breaking the cycle of poverty for youth through employment and education. Over the years, Juma has expanded its reach, operating over 20 social enterprises across four cities, and serving more than 500 low-income youth annually.

Impact

Since its inception, Juma has employed over 10,000 low-income youth, who have collectively earned $15.5 million in wages and saved $6.4 million for higher education. The organization generates over $44 million in enterprise revenue, showcasing its significant impact on the lives of youth and the community.
