Our Story

Justin “Judd” Goldman discovered the joy of sailing after a disabling bone disease limited his participation in sports. Over the past fifty-eight years, he has competed in numerous races worldwide, including the prestigious Chicago-Mackinac Race. In 1990, the Judd Goldman Adaptive Sailing Foundation was established as a partnership with the Chicago Park District to provide adaptive sailing programs for individuals with disabilities and inner-city youth.

Impact

Each year, over one thousand participants experience the joy and independence of sailing through our adaptive sailing programs, which cater specifically to individuals with disabilities and at-risk youth.
