Founded in 2004 by Asher Gellis, JQ International emerged from the need for a supportive space for queer Jews. At a time when LGBTQ+ representation in Jewish life was virtually nonexistent, JQ has become a beacon of hope and community. By fostering connections and providing essential resources, JQ strengthens the identities of LGBTQ+ Jews and their allies.
