Our Story

Founded in 2001 by Second Grace United Methodist Church, Joy-Southfield Community Development Corporation began as a mini-clinic for uninsured residents. Over the years, it has expanded its services, including the establishment of the Joy-Southfield Health and Education Center in 2006, which provides essential primary care and preventive health services. In 2014, JSCDC partnered with Covenant Community Care to enhance healthcare provision, focusing on community engagement and strategic collaborations to address local needs, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic.
