About JOVEN

Founded in 1992, JOVEN - Juvenile Outreach and Vocational Educational Network emerged from a pressing need to address juvenile crime in Bexar County. With initial support from Our Lady of the Lake and a $30,000 seed grant, JOVEN began its mission to combat gang violence and provide essential services to high-risk youth and their families. Over the years, JOVEN has evolved into a comprehensive agency, offering outreach services, counseling, and structured activities.

Our Impact

Incorporated in 1995, JOVEN has gained recognition at local, state, and federal levels for its innovative approach to supporting children and families. The organization focuses on health education, prevention, intervention, and victims’ services, ensuring that every child has access to the resources they need to thrive.
