Our Story

Journeymen Institute, established in 2016 on Vashon Island, WA, is dedicated to nurturing compassionate and resilient young men. Through nature-based rites of passage, training, and mentorship, the organization helps boys and young men discover their unique gifts and develop essential life skills. The One Village initiative, launched in 2020, broadens the mission to include youth of all genders, fostering cultures of belonging through transformative experiences and leadership training.

Our Impact

Since its inception, Journeymen Institute has partnered with five schools in the Puget Sound area, providing weekly mentorship to over 150 boys. More than 100 youth have participated in Rites of Passage experiences, contributing to over 2,500 volunteer hours in the community. Additionally, over 75% of participants have benefited from financial aid and scholarship opportunities.
