Our Story

Journey21 began with two mothers sharing dreams for their sons on a high school bleacher. Founded in 2021, the organization is dedicated to providing safe, supportive, and enriching living and learning options for adults with intellectual or developmental disabilities (IDD) in Waukesha County and surrounding communities. The vision is a future where every adult with IDD has access to meaningful opportunities for education, employment skill development, and social activities, enabling them to live independently in the home of their choice.
