Our Story

Founded on Valentine's Day in 1983 by Michael and Cathy Schack, Joseph Academy began with a heartfelt mission to support children facing emotional and behavioral challenges. Starting with just three students, the Academy has grown to serve around 100 students, providing a nurturing environment where young people can thrive. Under the leadership of Executive Director Lori Smith, the dedicated staff focuses on recognizing the potential in every child, especially those from troubled backgrounds.
