Our Story

The Jordan McNair Foundation was founded in June 2018 by Tonya Wilson and Martin “Marty” McNair after the tragic loss of their son, Jordan McNair, an offensive lineman at the University of Maryland. His death from heatstroke during a team workout sparked a mission to educate student athletes, parents, and the athletic community about the dangers of heat-related illnesses.
