Our Story

Joining Hearts & Hands, Ltd. is dedicated to improving the lives of African orphans and their communities. Founded by William and Joanne Cala, this nonprofit organization focuses on building schools, sponsoring health clinics, and providing scholarships.

Impact

Through generous sponsorship, secondary school scholarships are awarded to students orphaned or living in severe poverty in rural Kenya and northeastern Tanzania. With public education funded only through Grade 8, many orphans struggle to afford the $500 annual cost for secondary education, despite being the highest performing students.
