Our Story

Founded over 25 years ago by dedicated school nurses in the Johnston Community School District, the Johnston Partnership for a Healthy Community was born from a desire to combat food insecurity among students. Recognizing the urgent need for support, these nurses united to create a lasting impact. Today, the Partnership continues to serve families and individuals in Johnston and the greater Des Moines area, addressing financial insecurity through targeted programs.
