Our Story
The John M. Langston Bar Association was established in the 1920s by attorney Crispus Attucks Wright and other pioneering lawyers in Los Angeles. Founded as a response to the exclusion of African Americans from other bar associations, it evolved from the Blackstone Club to the Langston Law Club in 1943, and was officially recognized as the John M. Langston Bar Association in 1968. This organization is dedicated to empowering leadership, advancing professional development, and promoting justice within the Black community and beyond.
