The Joel Fund was founded by Brooke Dickhart in memory of her father, Joe Silva, a dedicated Navy SEAL who served his country valiantly. After a distinguished 20-year career, including four tours in Vietnam and being a plank owner of SEAL Team 6, Joe faced the challenges of PTSD and substance abuse. His passing inspired Brooke to create The Joel Fund, dedicated to serving veterans and military families in North Carolina.
