Jimmy Simpson Foundation

Our Story

The Jimmy Simpson Foundation was founded by Carol Simpson after her husband, Jimmy, suffered an anoxic brain injury due to a fall from a hospital bed. Established to meet the needs of individuals with brain injuries and their families, the foundation opened its first long-term care program, Safehaven, in July 1998. In 2000, the North Georgia Support Group was added to further assist those affected by brain injuries.
