Our Story

Since 1970, JIFF INC has been dedicated to serving the youth of Memphis through Christ-centered interventions. Originally launched as a local chapter of Youth For Christ, the organization evolved in 2005 under the leadership of Rick Carr, focusing on youth within the juvenile justice system. In 2006, JIFF acquired the Abe Scharff YMCA, which underwent a $3 million renovation, enhancing its capacity to serve. Today, under Richard Graham's leadership, JIFF continues to expand its reach, having merged with Mediation and Restitution Reconciliation Services (MARRS) in 2016 to further support at-risk youth.

Impact

In 2017, graduates from our Early Intervention Program completed 3,240 community service hours, demonstrating their commitment to becoming agents of change in their communities. JIFF has maintained a 90% success rate in its Early Intervention Program since 1993, showcasing the effectiveness of its evidence-based approaches.
