Our Story

In 1997, Bruce and Heather Johnston met Ron Nachman, the Mayor of Ariel, Israel. This encounter sparked a cultural exchange program that allowed the youth of Ariel to participate in JH Ranch’s leadership program in the United States. This partnership blossomed into a mission to strengthen Israel through education. With the support of Mayor Nachman, land was allocated in Ariel to create an experiential outdoor learning facility. Collaborating with Israel’s Ministry of Education, JH Israel developed a values-based leadership curriculum that emphasizes Israel’s rich biblical and cultural heritage.
