Our Story
For nearly a century, the Jewish Federation of Greater Long Beach and West Orange County has been a cornerstone of Jewish life in the region. Established in 1929 to support Jewish refugees fleeing persecution in Europe, the organization has evolved to meet the changing needs of the community. The Alpert Jewish Community Center has been enriching lives for 75 years, offering meaningful programs and services that foster connections among people of all ages.
Impact
In 2022, Jewish Long Beach delivered 8,500 hot meals to seniors and provided 2,600 free Jewish storybooks to families through PJ Library. In 2023, $250,000 has been distributed locally through Gordon Lentzner Community Impact Grants.
