Our Story

Jewish Family Service of Greater New Orleans (JFS) was established in 1948, evolving from the Jewish Children’s Home. In 1976, JFS gained its own 501(c)(3) status and opened its doors to individuals and families of all faiths in 1982. Today, JFS serves the Greater New Orleans area, providing essential services to people regardless of race, religion, disability, gender, or sexual orientation.
