Our Story
Founded in 1936 by Cele Cassman and Sara Singer, Jewish Family Service of Atlantic County began as a volunteer organization dedicated to assisting refugees, the elderly, and the impoverished. Originally known as the Jewish Families Committee, it has evolved into a nationally recognized social-service agency, positively impacting over 15,000 individuals annually.

With an annual budget exceeding $16 million, JFS provides a wide range of health, human, and vocational services, enhancing the well-being of individuals and families across all ages, faiths, cultures, and lifestyles in Atlantic and Cape May Counties.
