Our Story
Jewish Community High School of the Bay (JCHS) was founded in 2001 by visionaries Nancy Zimmerman Pechner and Noah Alper, who envisioned a vibrant and nurturing educational environment for Jewish teens. Initially opened in Tiburon, California, the school moved to its permanent home in San Francisco in 2002, thanks to the generosity of Keren Keshet – The Rainbow Foundation. JCHS is dedicated to fostering the next generation of Jewish leaders through a unique educational experience that integrates deep learning with Jewish values.
