Our Story

The Jewish Community Council of Greater Coney Island was founded in 1973 to provide essential social services to low-income residents of Southern Brooklyn, regardless of race or religion. Over the years, the mission has evolved to improve the quality of life for vulnerable individuals and families, stabilize neighborhoods, and empower New Yorkers through exemplary services.
