About the Jazz Academy of Music
The Jazz Academy of Music, Inc. (JAM) was founded in 2002 by Paul Carr, a passionate Music Director who aims to extend the music education opportunities he received as an inner-city youth to others. Inspired by accomplished musicians such as Arnett Cobb and Conrad Johnson, Paul established the Academy to nurture creativity, discipline, and teamwork through music education.
Our Mission
The mission of the Jazz Academy is to preserve Jazz music through education. By providing instructional opportunities to children and adults, the Academy fosters a love for music, particularly in the Jazz genre, while also welcoming beginners eager to learn.
