Preserving Japanese American History
Fostering Community Connections
Addressing Intergenerational Trauma

Our Story

Japanese American Memorial Pilgrimages began as a heartfelt initiative to mend the divisions within the Japanese American community caused by World War II. Founders Kimiko and Marissa, who met during a pilgrimage, envisioned a space for individuals to reconnect and share their narratives. Transitioning from an LLC to a nonprofit allowed JAMP to enhance its service to the community, focusing on both in-person and virtual pilgrimages that promote understanding and healing.

Our Impact

JAMP uplifts the voices of Japanese Americans through meaningful pilgrimages and educational programming, fostering community and healing from historical trauma.
