Today, it stands as one of the largest chapters, dedicated to educating the public about the Japanese American experience and advocating for minority human and civil rights.
Impact
Through various initiatives, the Sonoma County JACL has sought redress for those wrongfully incarcerated during World War II, shared the stories of the camp experience, and promoted civil rights, fostering understanding between the Japanese community and society.
